Alma G. Laney, PhD

I'm an arbovirologist (viruses transmitted by arthropods or arboviruses) specializing in plant viruses that infect ornamentals and row crops with an emphasis on virus discovery and characterization. More broadly, my research focuses on the discovery and characterization of plant viruses. My research interests also include understanding how abiotic stresses impact the interactions between viruses, their vectors, and their hosts.
